Saigoku Three are a trio of female warriors consisting of Mori Motonori, Motochika Chosokabe and Sourin Otomo. They first appeared in episode 9 (Saigoku Maidens), where they decided to introduce themselves to Nobunaga and her retainers on the coastline, they then tell Nobunaga the area of their Crimson Armour, but trick the group and kidnap Hideyoshi. Nobunaga and Mitsuhide go to the mountain to rescue Hideyoshi and Mitsuhide is left to battle Motochika and Sourin and Nobunaga finds she has to fight in a duel with Motonori. After many attempts Mitsuhide and Nobunaga succeed in defeating the trio and bring back their pieces of the Crimson Armour, carrying their opponents' bodies on their backs. In one of the last episodes, the Saigoku Three, help Nobunaga defeat Ieyasu, showing that they left their bitterness with the three main characters in the past.
